Introduction to G8 & GK1 Industrial Mini PCs and Dual Wireless Module Support

EGLOBAL G8-8665U and GK1-8265U are high-performance fanless industrial mini PCs. Featuring full aluminum enclosures and passive cooling, they operate silently and support 24/7 continuous operation, ideal for industrial control, network gateways, security monitoring and other industrial scenarios.

The G8-8665U is powered by Intel Core i7-8665U. This 15W TDP quad-core eight-thread processor delivers a boost clock up to 4.8 GHz. It is equipped with dual Gigabit Ethernet ports, 6 DB9 COM ports (4 of which support RS422/RS485), PS/2 and GPIO interfaces. It supports VGA+HDMI dual display, watchdog, WOL and PXE functions, with a wide DC input range of 9V~36V for superior environmental adaptability.

The GK1-8265U adopts Intel Core i5-8265U with 15W TDP. It comes with dual 2.5G Ethernet ports and 6 RS232 COM ports, among which two can be switched to RS485/422 mode via BIOS. Multiple USB ports, GPIO and multi-storage slots are configured for flexible expansion. Both models are compatible with Windows and Linux systems, and support wall mounting with complete standard accessories.

Both G8 and GK1 support simultaneous installation of 4G and Wi-Fi modules. They are fitted with two independent Mini-PCIe slots: the half-height slot is for Wi-Fi/Bluetooth modules, while the full-height slot works with 3G/4G modules. A dedicated on-board SIM card slot enables cellular network access. The physically separated slots ensure no signal or bandwidth conflict. The devices can run wired network, Wi-Fi and 4G concurrently to build redundant network links, perfectly suited for field operations, mobile industrial control and IoT gateway deployment.
